Ranked first in Barrons most sustainable international company listing
Croda International Plc, which uses smart science to create, make and sell speciality chemicals that improve lives, has recently been ranked first in the Most Sustainable International Company rankings by Barron’s, a leading source of financial news for the American Stock Exchange.
This Top 100 listing, which sees Croda placed at number one, analyses the 1,000 largest publicly held companies by market value across major developed-country markets, excluding the United States, which has its own Top 100. Calvert Research and Management, a leader in responsible investment management, conducted the research on behalf of Barron’s, analysing more than 230 key performance indicators of environmental, social and governance performance.
Stuart Arnott, President Sustainability at Croda said: “This ranking compares us to many major companies around the world. To be ranked first is a considerable achievement and one that we are extremely proud of.
“Croda was established nearly 100 years ago and has always had a focus on sustainability and using renewable raw materials. Our Commitment to become the most sustainable supplier of innovative ingredients will continue our drive to develop ingredients from bio-based raw materials, coupled with the ambition to reduce our emissions and become net zero by 2050. The global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has strengthened our resolve to continue to take a leadership position on sustainability.”
