In this blog post, we will feature a few members of our IT team, the unsung heroes who ensure our systems run smoothly, our data remains secure, and our technology keeps pace with the rapid advancements in the industry. We are excited to introduce you to three members of our IT team: Thomas Aghogho, Laura Borelli, and Michael Hidilitch, who each have unique backgrounds and roles.
Careers
Thomas Aghogho brings over a decade of experience as a business development analyst from one of Africa's largest banks to his IT Project Manager role at Croda. After completing his master’s in data analytics in the UK, Thomas joined Croda as an IT Project Manager, where he led the successful rollout of CrodaOn, a customer web portal, across nine countries. Now a vital member of the Analytics Team, Thomas focuses on creating insightful dashboards, automating workflows, and enhancing business decision-making through advanced reporting solutions. His passion for technology and teamwork, along with the supportive culture at Croda, fuels his dedication to continuous improvement.
Laura Borelli started her journey at Croda as an intern, quickly discovering a passion for IT through hands-on experience and a supportive team environment. Initially managing tickets through the Service Desk, Laura's role expanded to encompass server management, network management, and user support. Her journey from intern to Site IT Administrator, highlights her resilience and career progression.
Laura tells us: “Today, after overcoming many obstacles, I have the confidence of being an integral part of the team thanks to the support of the entire IT department who welcomed me and continue to assist me along the way.”
With a Masters in chemistry, Michael Hidilitch began his career at Croda as a Research Scientist. His career path took him through Process Development and Quality Assurance before he became the IT Compliance Manager in 2023. Michael ensures the validation and reliability of Croda’s computerised systems at pharmaceutical manufacturing sites. His role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of these systems, ensuring consistent, high-quality product delivery. Michael thrives in the collaborative IT environment, leveraging his extensive knowledge to drive improvements and uphold the company's high standards.
Michael informs us: “Being part of the IT team allows me to work with a group of like-minded individuals who are focused on continually improving the business whilst providing me with the opportunity to gain greater knowledge of the overall business and its processes.”
